  • Altitude: The trek takes you to higher altitudes like Munsiyari (2,200 meters / 7,218 feet), Chaukori (2,010 meters / 6,594 feet), and Kausani (1,890 meters / 6,200 feet). Acclimatize properly to avoid altitude sickness. Take it slow, drink plenty of water, and avoid overexertion, especially on your first day at higher altitudes.
  • Weather: Kumaon’s weather can change rapidly, with sunny days quickly turning to rain or chilly evenings. Check the weather forecast before departure and pack accordingly. The Kumaon trek typically lasts 9 days. This itinerary allows trekkers to explore the various scenic and cultural highlights of the region, from Nainital and Binsar to Chaukori, Munsiyari, and Kausani.
