    Chandigarh to Narkanda (170 km)

    Ride through scenic mountain roads via Shimla. Experience the lush greenery of Himachal before entering the high-altitude terrain.

    Narkanda to Chitkul (160 km)

FAQ’s for the Spiti Valley Bike Trip

The ideal months are June to September, when roads are accessible, and weather conditions are stable.

It’s a moderate to challenging ride due to high altitudes, off-road terrain, and water crossings. Experience in long-distance biking is recommended.

Royal Enfield Himalayan, Classic 350, KTM Adventure, and Bajaj Dominar are great choices due to their power and durability in rough terrains.

Indian citizens do not need a permit, but foreigners require an Inner Line Permit (available in Kaza or Shimla).

Very limited! Carry enough cash as ATMs are only available in Shimla, Reckong Peo, and Kaza, and they may run out of cash.

Solo riders can do it, but a group ride is recommended for safety and better support in case of breakdowns.

BSNL & Jio work in Kaza, but connectivity is weak in most areas. Carry a satellite phone or inform family about potential no-network zones.
