Altitude: Manali – 6,700 ft | Sarchu – 14,500 ft

Rise and shine! After an early breakfast, ensure your luggage is secured in the backup vehicle before setting off on an exhilarating ride toward Sarchu.

Your journey kicks off with a thrilling ride through the Atal Tunnel (9 km), where you’ll witness a dramatic shift in landscapes as you emerge into the breathtaking Lahaul Valley. Ride past Sissu, home to the stunning heart-shaped waterfall, and make a fuel stop at Tandi—the last petrol pump for the next 350 km!

As you continue, prepare for an adrenaline rush while navigating unpredictable mountain roads and rugged terrain. Climbing up to Baralacha La (16,500 ft), soak in the mesmerizing views of Suraj Taal, a sacred glacial lake shimmering in the high-altitude wilderness.

The final stretch to Sarchu takes you through narrow, bumpy roads surrounded by towering mountains. Arriving at your campsite, settle into Swiss tents with attached washrooms, enjoy a warm dinner, and unwind beneath a sky bursting with stars.

Your journey takes you over two thrilling high-altitude passes—Naki La (15,547 ft) and Lachalung La (16,616 ft)—offering panoramic views of the dramatic Himalayan landscape. As you ride further, experience the surreal Morey Plains, a vast, wind-swept plateau that feels like a slice of Tibet in India.

Next comes the mighty Tanglang La (17,582 ft), one of the highest motorable passes in the world. From here, begin the descent toward Leh, following the winding roads along the river while soaking in the mesmerizing mountain vistas.

As you follow the Shyok River, the winding roads offer breathtaking scenery and thrilling curves, making this stretch both challenging and exhilarating. Keep an eye out for stunning rock formations and vast open landscapes that add to the raw beauty of the region.

By evening, arrive at Pangong Lake, a surreal, high-altitude wonder stretching across India and Tibet.
